Education & Youth

Education for all ages is offered each Sunday at 9:15 am, and at numerous fellowship opportunities, September through May each year. The 2017-2018 year begins September 17. We request parents fill out a Sunday School Registration Form for student-level participants.

Students age 2 thru grade 6 are led through a rotation program, guided by the Spark curriculum. Bible stories are studied for a few weeks at a time, but each week students participate in various activities allowing them to learn stories from varied perspectives.

Middle School and High School age students participate in discussion groups in a less formal setting each week. Their discussions range from Bible stories, to the events in the church year, and include some small parts of the Confirmation activities like Acolyte and Crucifer training.

Wednesday Night Live, our Catechetical program, begins for students in seventh grade, and runs every-other week for two years. Aside from Wednesday evenings throughout the school year, the youth have the opportunity to participate in numerous outreach and fellowship activities in our community and region. These opportunities have included Habitat for Humanity projects in Perkasie, Appalachia Service projects in West Virginia, God’s Mission in Motion, and homelessness awareness in our community in conjunction with our involvement in the Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Adult Forum is held every Sunday during the Education hour. Discussions range from bible studies, to church year analysis, and even societal issues. Sessions are led by members of Trinity, visiting speakers and clergy, and members of Trinity’s staff.

Vacation Bible School is held every summer during the first full week of August, Monday through Friday. This event is coordinated in conjunction with the First United Methodist Church, Perkasie. This long-standing tradition in our community is one of our largest programs, and involves a staff of over 50 and typically welcomes over 150 participants!

For any and all information regarding these opportunities, contact Deb Detweiler, Director of Education, or the church office.
